A light yellow or almost white crystal with a slight aromatic odor. The main purpose is to be used as an important intermediate in the pharmaceutical industry and perfume industry. At present, the industrial production mainly includes phenol, p-cresol, p-nitrotoluene and other raw materials routes. The process is characterized by easy availability of raw materials, simple manufacturing process, but low yield and high cost.
